A loan helped to expand her business by increasing the size and range of her stock.

Royce's story

Royce is a 21 year-old entrepreneur who lives with her mother in Nchelenge District in Zambia. She runs a grocery shop at the market.

Royce is requesting a Kiva loan to expand her business by increasing the size and range of her stock. She plans to use the profit she earns to expand her business and support her family.

Royce will repay the ‘social interest’ on her loan by volunteering three hours per week as a CAMFED Business Mentor, leading sessions to teach less experienced local women how to become successful entrepreneurs by developing their business acumen and sharing the lessons she learned from operating her business.

This loan is special because:

It is a 0% interest loan for young women with new businesses.
