A loan helped a member to purchase the ACE 1 energy system in order to have access to solar power for lighting, charging, and cooking in a way that is safer, cleaner, and saves money.

Fb Vocational Institute Group's story

Maurice is a 42-year-old man who lives in a bricked house with three other family members including one child. Maurice works as a principal at a vocational institute but struggles with buying cooking fuels. He spends the most amount of his energy expenses on wood and charcoal, which costs up to 65,000 per month. He also spends as much as one hour per day gathering fuel and fulfilling other energy needs like phone charging.

Maurice and the other members of the group in this village each bought the ACE 1 cookstove to help them save the money they spend every month on fuel and also help them access solar electricity for charging their mobile devices any time for free. The ACE 1 clean cook-stove is biomass and solar powered. For more information on the ACE1 cook stove please visit www.africancleanenergy.com and Facebook @African Clean Energy.
