T. Posiano is an enterprising farmer in Rukungiri. He is a married man with seven children and his future plans are centered on developing his banana plantation.
Challenges like a lack of capital to expand his banana gardens, banana wilt disease, and finding the money to pay his odd jobbing casual laborers, are what Posiano has had to come to grips with ever since he began his business of growing and selling bananas nine years ago. His determination, though, has kept him going and, for that reason, he is now looking at the wider horizon.
In essence, Posiano’s future plans are to expand his business and educate all his children to university level. By his own account, a loan to the tune of 0.5 million UGX will lend support to his growth plans and ambitions. He hopes to buy more manure, mulch his plantations and buy stalk poles for better yields.
