Ruth, aged 48 years, is the mother of eight. She operates a bar from which she sustains the welfare of the four of her children she lives with. She lives in a rented house in Masindi, Uganda, which accommodates her family and the business.
Ruth has been in the bar business for ten years now. She says she started selling small quantities of alcohol but has seen her bar grow over the years with the help of the profits made and credit facilities from HOFOKAM.
Ruth will use the loan funds to pay tuition fees for her daughter, Jacinta, who is at college.
