Jessie's Group's story

Jessie T. is from the city of Biray, Ozamiz City. She is 38 years old and is the group leader of a six-member group loan offered by GDMPC. While each member of the group receives an individual loan, they are all collectively responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members if someone is delinquent or defaults.

Jessie is single. She owns and operates a general store, selling a variety of different products like soft drinks, rice, sugar, shampoo, etc., in the local community. She has been engaged in her business for over three years and earns approximately 10,000 PHP a month.

In 2010, Jessie joined GDMPC to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and her ability to engage in business activities. She is requesting a loan of 5,000 PHP which will be used to invest in expanding her business. This loan will be her first from GDMPC. She plans to use the additional revenue generated from his business to improve the general living conditions of her family.
