Flora Wambui's story

Flora Wambui K. is a 67 year-old widowed woman. She is blessed with five sons and two daughters, all adults. She has operated a dairy goat farming business for the past 30 years. Flora also sells charcoal and cereals as other sources of income.


She was introduced to Kadet through an existing Kadet client. She has applied for a loan which she plans to use to purchase charcoal and cereals like maize and beans for resale.


With the extra profit generated from the business Flora intends to buy a water tank. Her hopes and dreams are to expand her business and employ more people.


Flora is a widowed old woman and very hardworking. She currently attends adult classes at a school near her home. She says she wants to learn to write so that she can be able to sign documents.


She also takes care and educates a grandchild whose mother just disappeared from home. Flora describes herself as a visionary and hardworking woman.
