A loan of $225 helped maintenance and repair expenses for his mototaxi.

Efraín Joel's story

Efrain is 27, married, and does not have children. He lives with his wife and his brother’s family in a house inherited from his father. They live in the El Paraiso section of the Rázuri district, which is situated in the Ascope province in the La Libertad region. It is two and a half hours from Chiclayo, the capital of the Lambayeque region.

He provides transportation services for cargo and passengers in his “mototaxi” (three wheeled motorized vehicle). He has been doing this for several years. Thanks to his savings, he was able to buy his own vehicle a year and a half ago. He is currently working with the vehicle, and he is getting more earnings. Everyday he covers the routes between the Macabi and Paiján areas. He also sometimes works as a farm worker, which helps support his household.

The continual use of his vehicle has caused it to suffer some problems with the motor. It urgently needs to be repaired to function properly. That is why Efraín has seen the need, for the first time, to ask Edpyme Alternativa for a loan for 600 PEN. He will use it for the maintenance and repair of his vehicle.

Efraín is a hard-working and responsible family man. He works day to day to improve himself in order to get his family ahead. His neighbors and acquaintances hold him in high esteem and consider him to be a trustworthy person.
