A loan of $3,600 helps to buy dairy cows in order to increase her milk sales.

Buburayim's story

Buburayim is 53 years old and married with grown-up children. She has a higher education and works as a teacher in a local school. She has been raising livestock and growing crops since 1996 to provide her family with an additional source of income. Thanks to her hard work and her husband's help on the farm, Buburayim now has 6 cows, 30 sheep and a 2.96-hectare plot of land where she grows beans. Buburayim has a contract to supply organic milk to a local dairy factory. This allows her to constantly reinvest in her farming business.

When Buburayim found out that Bai Tushum Bank offer a product called a "Value Added Chain", which would allow her to take out a loan against her future milk sales, she decided to apply for a loan of 250,000 som. She will use the money to buy dairy cows, in order to increase her milk production. The milk payments from the factory go straight into Buburayim's bank account, and the loan repayments are automatically deducted. The profit from the loan will help Buburayim to further develop her business and to provide a bright future for her children.
