A loan of $1,050 helped purchase wool & knitting needles.

Victoria's story

Victoria is 51 years old, single, and has three children. She lives in the jungle community of Chontabamba where she has her own home.

Even though technology has entered the textile field, this has not resulted in the disappearance of textile artisans such as Victoria, who produces handmade blankets. It all started when she was a young girl observing her relatives at work. She learned from them the techniques of knitting and then decided to enter into the same business. Victoria usually sells her blankets at the market in a nearby town where she is well-received. Her plans for the future include having a store that exclusively sells blankets of all styles, textures, sizes, and colors in order to satisfy the preferences of her customers.

This is her fourth loan with MFP. Victoria is aware that she has the responsibility of completing her payments. She will use the loan to buy materials, such as wool and knitting needles, to facilitate and accelerate her production of blankets.
