A loan of $1,050 helped purchase farming supplies.

Maura's story

Maura is 44 years old, married, and has three children. She lives in the jungle town called Palmapampa, where she has her own home.

Maura has been farming for 30 years, specifically growing coffee and cacao. At the beginning, she only had a small farm, so she decided to acquire more land so that she could produce in greater volumes. Maura receives assistance from her children, but she also has hired workers who are able to facilitate the cultivation of coffee and cacao. She usually sells her products to the wholesale merchants or at the collection centers in her community. In the future, she plans to expand by acquiring more land for growing new products that are in greater demand.

This is her fifteenth loan with MFP. Maura is aware that if she is responsible, she will continue to be eligible for future loans. The money she requested will be used to buy supplies for improving the quality and quantity of her products.
