Mente Positiva Group's story

This committee was established by Sra. Elvira M., of the Santa Ana neighborhood in Ciudad del Este, who contacted neighbors and friends to help her start it. The committee, called Menta Positiva (Positive Mind), has 20 members, women from the neighborhood who are active and supportive partners for one another. The members make their living in different ways, some will start new businesses and they depend on fixed incomes. One of the members who started a business after joining the committee is Elvira. She opened an office/school supply store with her first loan. The business has grown a lot since she launched it and she is very happy with her progress. This loan will be used to buy products for resell: notebooks and other school supplies.
