A loan of $425 helped increase her business funding.

Narou's story

Madame Narou S. is a 60 year-old woman who lives in the Ouakam district and has belonged to the Ouakam credit association for five years. She has run her own business for the past 20 years and is well known for selling shoes, fabric, mobiles and incense. She began her business by travelling to Gambia in order to buy goods, then to Mauritania to source khartoume (fabric) and mobile phones. She is seeking a 200 000 F loan so that she may go to Gambia to fulfil an order for shoes from her daughter's friends. Madame S. has already received four loans, and this loan would enable her to see to her family's needs.
