Ngandu Development Group, Mukono's story

G. Mary, shown at the top right in the small photo as well as in the group photo, is the leader of her lending group. She is 42 years old and the married mother of three children who are in high school.

Mary sells dairy products in Mbale, Mukono district. She has been doing this for the last twelve years and has had to remain strong in the face of challenges. However, her friendly nature has always been her strength, as her loyal customers have always been at her beck and call.

Mary’s future business plan of action is to buy more cows to increase her dairy sales and to be able to expand her business which is still small scale. Her hopes are high that with this loan, she will be able to see her dreams come to fruition.
