A loan helped to buy 3 bales of weaving thread and dye.

Kouka Marie's story

Kouka Marie has 4 children, 2 of whom are in school. She is a weaver, and she has been weaving high-quality traditional pagnes, or wrap garments, for 25 years in her home. Kouka Marie sells her pagnes on the outskirts of the capital.

She is on her 5th loan with microfinance institution Yikri, and she is requesting this loan to buy dye and 3 bales of weaving thread so she can weave many traditional pagnes to meet the demand of her customers.

She plans to use the profits to reinvest in her business and to save up to buy another weaving machine.
