A loan of $725 helped buy agricultural tools.

Florencia's story

Florencia is 29 years old. She lives with her partner, the father of her three children. She has her own house, located in a part of the central Peruvian jungle called “Palmapampa.”

Florencia decided to start growing cocoa and coffee when she saw that her neighbors were making good money with these crops. Now, the business is going well and her earnings provide her with security and confidence. Also, she has good people helping her with the cultivation and harvesting.

Florencia generally sells her products to the markets at a good price. For this reason, she is just as enthusiastic about investing in her farm as she was at the beginning. She also wants to improve her agricultural techniques, to optimize the quality of her products.

This is Florencia’s first loan with MFP, and she is grateful for this opportunity to improve her business. She commits to making her payments on time. With this loan she will buy tools and supplies for the cultivation of cocoa and coffee. This will minimize costs and labor.
