A loan helped to buy a stove for preparing and selling tamales and food.

Zulma Karolina's story

Zulma is 33 years old and studied through the ninth grade. She is a single mother and her children are in school.

Zulma has nine years of experience with selling tamales and food. She learned this trade from her mother. Zulma travels five kilometers by bus from her house to reach the place where she sells. She works from 6:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. A friend helps with the business. In addition, Zulma has experience in agriculture.

She is a very enterprising woman who received five previous loans that have allowed her to keep working. Four of the loans have been fully repaid and her most recent loan is being paid on time. Zulma needs a new loan to buy a stove for preparing and selling tamales and food.

She wants to make improvements to her home and see her children study so that they can become professionals.
