A loan helped to purchase clothing and groceries.

Rosa Marena's story

Rosa is 46 years old, married, has 2 adult children, and two minors, one is 8 years old and one is newborn. Her spouse is a merchant. They rent a small house in the enchanting city of Manta, a place of very humble and hard-working people.

Rosa characterizes herself as being a very hard-working woman who daily seeks the way to be able to support her spouse with the household expenses. For this, 3 years ago she decided to establish her small business in her house, in which, with the help of her children, they sell exquisite encebollados [soups] only on the weekends.

In her free time, Rosa also works selling American clothing and it is for this that she asks for help to continue growing her business. She will invest this loan in the purchase of clothing and groceries to make the encebollados. Her dreams are to own her own house and that her business continues growing.
