Geraldo Francisco's story

Geraldo Francisco C. was born in the Zavala district, Inhambane province, south of Mozambique. He is 39 years old, married and the father of four children ages 16, 12, 9 and 2, the three older ones go to school. He only studied until the 6th grade and couldn't go on due to financial difficulties. He lives in his own house with his family and also supports a nephew that lives with him.
Geraldo left Zavala for Maputo in 1988 during the civil war. He fixed residency in the District and works at a tire shop for the past 18 years. He has no employees and makes around U$55 per month, which he uses in household expenses and sometimes saves some. He's never taken loans in other banks and this is his 5th loan with Hluvuku in the amount of U$675, which he will use to buy construction supplies (cement, iron, sand and others) to finish building his house. His previous loans were all for the same purpose. In the future he would like to ask for other loans in order to finish building his house and buy a car.
