Afaf's story

Afaf is a 44-year-old, married Syrian refugee and a creative tailor who had left her hometown in 2001 to search for decent living conditions. She runs a home-based sewing business to help her husband, who works as a driver, in maintaining their own living needs.

She is acquiring a loan from Kiva's field partner Al Majmoua to pay for medical treatment and surgery expenses that she had to undergo necessarily.

The sacrificing woman wishes to expand her business and attract more customers, which can increase her income and offer her family a satisfied life.
