Mujeres Virtuosas Group's story

The Mujeres Virtuosas del Barrio San Miguel (Virtuous Women of San Miguel Neighborhood) in Luque came together thanks to an invitation they received from one of the members of the Mujeres Unidas de Isla Bogado (Isla Bogado United Women) committee. Currently, the committee is made up of 18 members who are involved in a variety of commercial activities.

Alejandra E. sells food in a food stand that she leases in Luque's market. Her customers are very satisfied with the dishes she makes. Some of her usual dishes are: turnovers, breaded steak, sopa paraguaya (similar to corn bread), bori-bori (a hearty soup made with meat, vegetables, and dumplings), soups. She used the funds to buy ingredients for her dishes.
