A loan helped to buy an additional dairy goat to improve her milk-vending business so that in the future she can build a biodigester.

Catherine's story

Catherine is a mum with a total willingness to work. She has four lovely children whom she really adores and cherishes. Her children are the reason behind her passion for work and enthusiasm. She has been practicing dairy goat and crop farming for the past few years and is making great strides. She has been able to earn a decent and honest living through milk, crops and a personal business. These ventures have enabled her to feed her family.

Catherine has planted trees on her compound. She also has grass, which has high protein and is used to feed her dairy goats, thereby enhancing her milk-selling profits. Because of increased demand, Catherine is kindly requesting a loan to buy another good-quality dairy cgoat. Dairy farming is a very profitable venture and she wants to take full advantage of the ready market for dairy products. Through the loan, Catherine is sure of satisfying the demand for milk in her area. With her increased profits, she is sure that she will repay the loan on time and also be in a position to comfortably take care of her family.

Catherine's vision is to keep even more dairy goats in future and become a market leader in her village.

This loan is special because:

It finances smallholder farmers to purchase dairy cows, chickens, cereals, farm inputs and farming equipment.
