A loan helped to buy bull calves to fatten and resell.

Shaanikan's story

Shaanikan has successfully repaid her previous loan, and is very grateful to Kiva and to all who helped her with that financing. Her farm presently consists of three cows and five sheep.

In order to develop her business further, Shaanikan has again turned to Bai Tushum Bank, this time for a loan of 150,000 som (KGS) to buy bull calves, her goal being to fatten them for resale. She is planning to put the income generated by the loan into the ongoing development of her agricultural business, while using a portion of it to have her home piped for gas and install steam heat.
