A loan helped to purchase improved inputs to get a good yield and grow his business.

Isa's story

Isa lives in a simple mud house in a small village in Kaduna state. Isa is married with three children and grows maize to support his family. Since joining Babban Gona in 2015, his happiest memory was sending his children to school

With this loan, he will be able to purchase improved inputs to get a good yield and grow his business. Isa believes that by continuing to work with Babban Gona, he will achieve his goal this season to double (or increase) last year's yield. Apart from increasing Isa's yield to ensure that his family never goes hungry, this loan will also help his earn up to 3 times in net income, compared to the national average, from selling his maize to premium buyers.

At the end of the season, Isa plans to use the profits he earns from his harvest pay his children's school fees and enhance their standard of living. Isa looks forward to living in the improved house and to many more abundant harvests.
