A loan of $875 helped to invest in the purchase of various products.

Elvira's story

Elvira has a store located in the Munaypata zone of our city. Her home is located two blocks away, on the same street. She carries a large variety of products, despite the fact that the space she occupies is small. Elvira is married and has 3 daughters, ages 22, 15, and 12. They are all studying, one in the university and the other two in school. Her husband is a locksmith and works in the Obrajes zone of the city. They tell us they started with nothing and, through hard work, managed to buy a little house and put themselves in an acceptable financial situation.

They are very proud of their work, and always demonstrate responsibility with their loan payments. They are a very tight-knit family. Elvira’s wish is to see her daughters all become professionals. She will use the money from the loan to buy merchandise to supply her store. She is very grateful to Emprender and Kiva for the confidence they’ve shown in her by granting credit.
