A loan helped buy carpentry materials to build furniture.

Sixto Mauricio's story

Sixto is 39 years old and lives in the city of Ibarra. At age 20, he went to Spain searching for a better life style, but since he did not have all his papers in order, he did not manage to get steady work. For this reason, Sixto had to come back to his native land after 9 years without achieving the economic growth which was his goal and he had to begin to work as a day laborer. Currently, he is divorced and lives with his mother. He is responsible for his daughter's education.

Sixto saw the need to learn a different skill such as carpentry. Currently, he has a small shop where he makes beds, wardrobes, dining room and living room sets, which has allowed him to improve his life style.

Sixto is requesting a loan to purchase carpentry materials such as wood, paint, lacquer, and more, to build furniture and, so, be able to sell it to his customers.

Sixto is very happy with the work he does since it allows him to generate income to support his family. He enjoys making his furniture, managing to get satisfied customers.
