A loan helped a member to stock up on potable water in her tanks.

Tenda Mema Group's story

Madame Elisee is a client of the microfinance institution Hekim and president of the Tenda Mema banc villageois. She is 56 years old, married and has eight children who all attend school. Her spouse is an official.

She has a business selling potable water. She started up her business 20 years ago with funding from her husband. Later on she requested a loan from Hekima to support her business. She will use this new loan along with her own capital to stock up on potable water in her tanks. There are no risks to her business.

She wishes to pay for her children's schooling and to buy a plot of land for them. Lastly, she thanks Hekima and its partners for the support they provide to unbanked entrepreneurs.
