A loan of $3,675 helped a member to buy salon requirements.

Carot Group's story

Isabela I., age 25, is married with one daughter of three years. She has operated a salon business since 2003. She works from 8.30 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily and she is able to earn a monthly profit of about $114.

This will be Isabela’s 3rd loan from Tujijenge Tanzania. She used the previous loans to buy more salon equipment and has paid back the loan successfully. She hopes for a new loan to improve further on her salon stock.

Isabela will share this loan with her loan group, Carot, which totals fifteen members. The members of the group will hold each other accountable in paying back the loan.
