A loan helped upgrade equipment, adding a new refrigerator, expand our baked goods, building an outside cover seating area for my customers and gain working capital for our business.

Daisy's story

I grew up in Oregon along the gorge in a valley surrounded by fields of orchards with apples, pears, peaches, cherries and blueberries. It was quite amazing to see so many beautiful fruits and vegetables but difficult at times because as a daughter of a migrant farm worker i saw as well the type of hard work that came with it, The love and dedication that goes into our food everyday. When I was a child I remember going over to my neighbors house a sweet elderly lady who would always invited me over to bake with her. This is where my love for baking begins. Today me and my husband own a cart called Good Karma Rose we are doing a full espresso bar, organic juice bar, and incorporate my fresh baked goods.
We have recently started opening accounts for wholesale with local Portland cafes for our baked goods and would love to be able to grow our business in this way as well.

My personal dreams for the future is to be able to provide a beautiful space surrounded by nature, where I and my husband have the freedom to create and share our food with everyone and co create a good environment.

This loan is special because:

It enables a female entrepreneur to expand operations of her organic juice bar.
