Abraham Plus Group's story

“Abraham Plus” is a group of 27 owners of small businesses chaired by Alain. Its members are jointly liable for loans granted by Kiva to grow their businesses.

Alain sells packaging in the north and most populated area of Kinshasa. He became a micro-entrepreneur in 2008. He already received five loans from the microfinance institution HOPE DRC and fully repaid them.

He intends to use this loan to expand his inventory. He will buy some packaging to resell at a profit. Currently he earns a profit of $70 per week.

Alain is 34 years old and single.
