Shahodat's story

Shahodat I. has been selling perfumes and household goods since 1997 in Atushbazzar, Khujand. She started her business in an open-air market. Gradually she increased her working capital and rented a shop for her business. She has 4 children, who are all at school.

Shahodat's business partner is her husband who helps her to brings goods from the wholesale market in Panjshanbe, Khujand, two times a week. She also receives some goods from distributors of firms such as P&G, Pamiss, Oriflame, and Dove.

Today her business is going well but Shahodat would like to increase her inventory so as to offer a greater variety of goods. For this purpose she is requesting a loan of US$ 1,200.
