A loan helped a member to reinforce her initial capital by stocking up with a wholesale purchase of women's clothing.

Kalamo Group's story

Henriette is an IMF Hekima client and president of the "banque villagoise" Kalamo. She is 52 years old, married and has six children who all study. Her partner is a teacher.
She sells clothes and began her business 12 years ago with seed capital from her husband. Later on she requested a loan from Hekima to maintain her business. With this new loan, she is going to stock up wholesale with women's clothing to boost her initial capital. The threat to her business is linked to the instability of the exchange rate with US dollars.
She would like to put her children through school and feed her family. Finally, she thanks Hekima and its partners for the support they give to non-bankable entrepreneurs.
