Mrs. Siem Chor Village Bank Group's story

This village bank loan has eight members, all of whom live in Prek Pang village in Kandal province. Mrs. Siem C. is the village bank president who has been selected by all the members. Each of tH. will use the loan for different purposes. She and her husband, Mr. Vuth Neang, are farmers who own a small piece of land on which they cultivate rice to support their family. Their rice field has problems in that its soil is infertile and it is far from the irrigation system. Thus, Mrs. Siem C. decided to ask for a loan to buy fertilizer and gasoline to increase their rice yield. The couple has five children. One of tH. is a policeman, another is a seamstress in a garment factory, and the others are enrolled in local public school.
