A loan of $675 helped purchase vitamins, nutrients, diet supplements, and other products.

Manuel Carlos's story

Manuel C. is a member of the “Prod Natura” Communal Bank. He lives in the community of Chilcapamba in Santa Ana Parish. The main business activities are agriculture and tourism. One of its main tourist attractions is the Mama Tepal Hill. There you will find a small chapel where “Las Fiestas de las Cruces” (The Festivals of the Crosses) are held every year. One is also able to enjoy the marvelous view of the city of Cuenca and part of Azogues.

Manuel is 28 years old and single. Even though he has his own home in Santa Ana, he would prefer to rent a house in Chilcapamba because it would be easier for him to get to work. Manuel is a natural products salesperson with two years of experience in this business. He says that things are going well because the product has improved in its quality and he has maintained a varied yet sufficient stock to fulfill the orders from his demanding customers. Seven months ago, he suffered from a shortage of products.

This is his second loan cycle with the Foundation. With his first loan, he was able to order merchandise that he was low in supply so that he could complete the orders from his customers. Now with this new loan he is requesting, he will purchase vitamins, nutrients, diet supplements, and other products so that he can maintain a varied stock to offer his distinguished customers.

His greatest dream is to acquire an automobile so that he can travel with his products and provide better and faster service to his customers.
