Ariana Briseyda
Ariana, 29, is married and has been an elementary school teacher for 9 years at Nueva Guinea's Alfonso Cortès school. She lives with her husband and two children in their home, which they have struggled mightily to get. Her oldest son is 4 years old and the baby is 4 months old; her husband is a farmer and cares for a few young cows they own.

Ariana is asking for her 6th loan to make home improvements, specifically to replace the zinc metal roofing that is in poor condition and to install metal gutters because Winter is approaching and she doesn't want her things to get wet and she wants to provide her family with better living conditions.

She is a responsible, honest, hard-working woman who is held in high regard by her co-workers and the parents of her students.

She is grateful to AFODENIC because her previous loans have made it possible for her to improve her home. Her dream is to stay healthy and to have steady employment and that her children grow up to be strong and healthy.

About Housing Loans

Many poor families cannot afford housing that meets their needs. When you make a housing loan on Kiva, you give people access to flexible capital to obtain or improve their homes. Better housing means better health, sanitation, and even educational outcomes for children. A house can also be much more for entrepreneurs who run businesses out of their homes. In this way, housing and small business loans on Kiva share a common purpose: to alleviate poverty and enable families to enjoy more stable lives.
