A loan of $375 helped to buy insecticides.

Pedro's story

Pedro is 46 years old and a father. He is very happy and a worker. He lives in his own house with his wife Ceferina who is 45 years old and helps him on the farm. What they want most is to have a better quality of life.

He works planting potatoes, sweet corn, carrots, corn and peas, which after harvesting he sells in the oldest market in the city of Tarma where he already has several customers who know the quality of his product and don't hesitate to wait to buy them in bulk.
What he likes most about his job is planting his land and making it fertile and productive. He has been in the business for 30 years and considers the most difficult part to be fumigating his farm, which he has to do very carefully since he doesn't want the chemicals to cause a disease. In the future he hopes to continue selling his products but to increase his income he wants to buy a car which he can use to transport his products.

This is the eighth loan Pedro has had with MFP and he knows that he must make his payments on time if he wants to continue getting loans in the future. He is a responsible member of his communal bank and is concerned with the well-being of his friends. With the thousand nuevos soles he is requesting he will buy insecticides to fumigate his crops.
