A loan helped to buy fertilizers, manure, and supplies to take better care of his land.

Ernesto's story

Ernesto is a 23-year-old young man. He lives with his wife and son in the indigenous community of La Esperanza City, Intibucá.

He makes a living growing and selling potatoes. He has been a farmer since he lived with his parents. His crop is on the same land where his house is located, and he sells his harvests of potatoes at the local market.

He is choosing to take a loan of 12,000 Lempiras from the institution to invest in the purchase of fertilizers, manure, and supplies to better care for his land and, in this way, obtain better harvests.

Ernesto's dream is to firmly establish his business and, with the profits, finish building his house so that he and his family can live more comfortably.
