A loan of $725 helped purchase of fertilizer and insecticides.

Julio's story

Julio, 49, is a happy and hardworking father. He lives in his own home with his wife, Dina, 51, and their 2 children, to whom he hopes to give a good life. The extensive farmlands he owns are the fruit of a life of hard work and of his firm commitment to get ahead through agriculture. His products are in high demand in the wholesale market in Tarma, since he is famous for his high-quality produce, for which he gets the best prices. What he enjoys the most about his work is guarding his crops from the pests that can attack. He has been doing this activity for 35 years, and for him the most difficult part is transporting the sacks of potatoes and gladiolas (flowers), since they are very heavy and tire him out. In the future, he hopes to purchase a car that would make the transport of his products much easier. This is the eighth loan Julio has had through MFP, and he knows that the loan funds will help him a lot to develop his work. In his communal bank, he is a happy member who always helps carry out the meetings. With the $725 he has requested, he will purchase fertilizer and insecticides, wanting his fields to be more productive.
