Estela's story

Estela is 60 years old and a cheerful hardworking woman. She lives in her own home with her husband Rafael (age 68), who works with her on their farm. What they desire most is to have a peaceful retirement.

Estela works hard to grow crops that proviD. the necessary products to support her family. Before the sun shines its first rays, she leaves her house and walks nearly an hour before arriving at her farmland where she grows carrots, potatoes, and peas. These products are later sold at the wholesale market in the city of Tarma. What she enjoys most about her work is cultivating the land because she believes it provides good use. She has been in this line of work for 40 years and considers the most difficult part to be transporting her products to Tarma because the sacks of produce are very heavy and greatly tire her. Over time she hopes to open a grocery store, which will help her improve her family’s financial situation.

This is Estela’s fifth loan with MFP. She is very happy to have qualified for this loan and wants to thank everyone who maD. this possible.
