A loan helped a member to pay the expense of maintaining her parcel of farmland.

San Juan De Comumpiari Group's story

Ana is 32 years old and has three children (ages 19, 9, and 3) who she supports with her husband. For more than 14 years, she has been cultivating cacao and barbasco. In addition, she works as a day laborer on other farms with her husband.

Her greatest challenge has always been having more diversified crops from the area so that she can offer quality products. Ana is requesting a loan to maintain her parcel of farmland so that she can obtain a better product.

She considers herself to be a hardworking and enterprising woman who has the drive to help her children get ahead. Ana currently belongs to the group “San Juan de Comumpiari”, which consists of 12 members. She is the leader and her group is known for being responsible and orderly. Most of all, they have the determination to keep moving forward along with their families.
