A loan helped to hire land so that a single mom (ever smiling) can improve her farm yields and make more profit to support her family.

Elosy's story

Elosy (29-year-old single mom of one) is the true definition of a hard worker and an ever-smiling, happy mother. She is a mixed farmer in Nkubu, growing different crops and dairy farming.

She produces milk and crops for commercial purposes as opposed to many rural farmers who produce for subsistence. Elosy also grows and sells maize.

These commercial activities place her in a better position to engage in other agricultural businesses, which she does. Hard work and self-determination are what Elosy uses in her life to keep her progressing.

Elosy is seeking a KES 100,000 loan to hire land so that she can improve her farm yields and profits to ensure her child graduate from school. With the hired land, she will be able to plant more different varieties of crops.

It takes a lot for a smallholder farmer to risk limited resources to expand a farm business. With your help, Elosy will be able to pay the high costs of the farm inputs necessary for expansion.

A significant portion of the profits will be ploughed back into the business to fuel growth as she sets a good foundation for her child. She really hopes for your help and contribution.

Elosy is thankful in advance.

This loan is special because:

It finances smallholder farmers to purchase dairy cows, chickens, cereals, farm inputs and farming equipment.
