Los Solidarios De San Isidro Group's story

The Communal Bank “Los Solidarios de San Isidro” is currently in its third loan cycle and consists of eleven hardworking individuals who view each moment as an opportunity to get ahead. Through their daily efforts, they are able to provide a better future for their children. The members of the Communal Bank live in the Province and Department of Cusco. Cusco is a city known for its Historical Center, its landscapes, and its history for being one of the most enchanting cities in the southern part of the country.


Most of the members are farmers and ranchers who also engage in businesses or services such as carpentry, house construction, small animal sales, housekeeping services, sales of beer and “chicha”, and handicraft sales.


Ines is a member of the Communal Bank “Los Solidarios de San Isidro”. She is 47 years old and has one child. Ines says she is currently the caretaker of the community hall in her village and also lives there. She is a hardworking and enterprising woman who wants to venture into the business of buying and selling small animals. Ines currently has a several pigs and guinea pigs, but she wants to buy lambs. Therefore, she is requesting this loan.
