A loan of $225 helped buy seed and insecticide.

Nora's story

Nora is a hardworking woman of 41 years of age. She is married to Victor, 48, and they live with their four children (all grown) in their own house.

For 25 years, together with her husband, Nora has worked growing potatoes, corn, peas, and a variety of vegetables. Also, for additional income, they raise bulls and cows, which help them in fields and also provide milk to make delicious cheeses.

Nora counts on the help of her children, who usually sell her agricultural products while she prefers to take care of the animals. From an early age, both she and her husband have enjoyed living in the country next to green fields. Their children, on the other hand, have decided to rent out most of their land as they plan to spend most of their time selling cheeses and corn in a market in the capital.

This is Nora’s third loan with MFP. She knows that by working hard she can obtain future loans. She encourages the members of her communal bank to develop projects that will benefit them all. With this loan, Nora will buy ten bags of seed potatoes and three bottles of insecticide.
