The group "Mar" is formed by 3 hardworking women. One of them is Dina Guadalupe Pavón O., who has had a small shop for 6 years. When she started out she had very few products, but with the loans this has improved. She comments that in addition to improving her store, she was able to complete some repairs to areas of her house that had deteriorated and that she had not finished.

Her fellow group members are Margelia del Socorro B. Narváez, who has a dressmaking workshop and sells Avon products, and Martha Lizbeth Alvarado Solís, who started a small vegetable shop which, with the loans from ADIM, expanded to include the sale of meat and bones for cooking.

El grupo el Mar está conformado por tres mujeres trabajadoras una de ellas es Dina Guadalupe Pavón O. quien tiene desde hace seis años tiene una pequeña venta la cual cuando inicio comercializaba pocos productos que con los prestamos ha mejorado. Ella además de mejorar su negocio pudo componer algunos detalles de su casa que se encontraba deteriorada pero aun no ha terminado según comento.

Sus compañeras de grupo son Margelia del Socorro B. Narváez quien tiene un taller de costura y vende productos Avon y Martha Lizbeth Alvarado Solís quien comenzó una pequeña verdulería y con forme le dieron los créditos en Adim incluyo la venta de carne y hueso.

In a group loan, each member of the group receives an individual loan but is part of a larger group of individuals. The group is there to provide support to the members and to provide a system of peer pressure, but groups may or may not be formally bound by a group guarantee. In cases where there is a group guarantee, members of the group are responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members in the case of delinquency or default.
