Ali's story

Ali is a 41-year-old man who lives in the Bekaa with his wife and their six children. For the last five years, he has made a living running a grocery store where he sells fruits and vegetables, including lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, radishes, potatoes, apples, oranges and other items. His customers, most of whom live nearby, like shopping in his store because he has good-quality merchandise. He has applied for a loan from Al Majmoua to buy more merchandise to sell. Ali has always paid loans on time, and plans to keep on improving his work by diversifying his merchandise.
