Gulnar's story

Gulnar is 58 years old, married, and has a daughter and 4 sons, all of her children are grown and independent. She has a secondary-specialist education. By nature she is communicative and hard-working. After she graduated from college she worked as a salesperson in a store, and since 1998 she has been selling women's clothing.

She started her trade business more than 3 years ago. Currently, she rents a place of business in the central market and sells bedding, carpets, bags, and women's clothing.

She has 195,000 som (KGS) worth of goods in circulation. Her monthly income is 25,000 som (KGS). In order to further develop her business, Gulnar applied to the bank "Bai-Tushum" for a loan in the amount of 50,000 som (KGS) to increase her turnover and the assortment of goods. She plans to invest the proceeds from the loans into the further development of her business by increasing her circulation as well as to improve her family's welfare.
