Kelin Victoria's story

Kelin Victoria P. L. is 28 years old and lives in Arce City, located in the area of La Libertad. She lives with her 9 year old daughter, who is a student. Kelin works selling tortillas, which are part of the daily diet of Salvadorans and are eaten as often at noon as they are at night or at any of the three mealtimes. Her business has proven itself to be very profitable. She is in charge of preparing the tortillas, and people then come to her home to buy them. In order to earn extra income, she also sells used clothing for men, women, and children, that has been imported from the United States. Kelin is asking Integral for a loan to buy corn in bulk and also to buy a greater quantity of clothing in different sizes, prints, colors, and styles, which will allow her to get more customers and increase earnings. Kelin is a young woman who has gotten ahead despite the difficulties she has faced--which have made her biggest goal to grow her business in order to provide more financial stability for her daughter and to give her a better future.
