A loan of $1,025 helped purchase bundles of second-hand clothing.

Yareysi María's story

Yareysi María Z. Z. is a young woman from the municipality of Condega who makes a living selling a variety of second-hand clothing out of her home. She is requesting the loan from Kiva partner Ceprodel to purchase various bundles of second-hand clothing so she can offer a larger stock of products for adults as well as children. She started the business with the goal of increasing her income, and she started out selling small quantities of clothing only for adults and as demand increased she also increased her products. Yareysi has had the business approximately one year and tends to it every day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and sometimes her sister helps her. Previously, Yareysi made a living as a hairstylist. She hopes that with the purchase of more second-hand clothing she can increase her sales and satisfy her customers' demand, and thus grow her business more. Yareysi is single and doesn't have children, and her sister lives with her. This is her second loan through Kiva partner Ceprodel over two years, and her previous loan helped her grow her business and increase her monthly income.
