A loan helped to buy supplies and fertilizers for maintaining 7.02 hectares of coffee, as well as pay for labor.

Victor Manuel's story

Victor has been growing coffee for 28 years. His farm consists of 52.69 hectares, but only 7.02 hectares contain coffee plants that are maintained under the criteria for FLO, UTZ, and CAFE Practices certification. For the past three years, he has harvested an average of 523 quintals [1 quintal = 100 kg] of coffee in parchment. Thanks to the assistance from the technical team at PAC, Victor has been able to harvest export-quality coffee and achieve excellent productivity.

As part of the annual improvements to his farm, Victor will be implementing a nutritional improvement plan this year for his coffee plants. He is requesting a loan in order to buy farming supplies such as calcium, boron, and zinc, as well as pay for labor to carry out the steps of the plan.

This is the sixth loan he has received from PAC.
