A loan helped to buy rice and fish.

Lucia's story

Lucia is 49 years old and married with four children. She has a kiosk that she started in 2002 where many people come to buy goods every day. Running her business has made Lucia independent, because she can be responsible for herself and also help support her family.

She would like a loan of $1,000 from KIF to help improve her kiosk. She plans to use this loan to buy rice and fish. Lucia hopes to run a bigger business in the future, and wants to thank lenders for the opportunity. Her husband is in farming. She is happy with this loan because [it will help to] improve her living condition in the future. It is her second loan and the first loan has been paid already.

This loan is special because:

It provides entrepreneurs in underserved communities with the means to grow their businesses.
