A loan helped to buy dairy cows to increase her number of cattle and organic milk sales.

Saltanat's story

Saltanat is 29 years old and married with a daughter and son. She has a specialised secondary-level education and works as a school cook. She is a hardworking, driven and enterprising person. She has a good understanding of agricultural technology and she knows how to invest funds effectively.

Saltanat has been raising livestock since 2009 to provide her family with a supplementary source of income. Thanks to her hard work and responsible approach to business, she now has 7 cows, 60 sheep, 6 horses and a 1.0-hectare plot of land where she grows barley and potatoes.

In order to further develop her business, Saltanat has approached Bai Tushum Bank for a loan of 150,000 som. She will use the money to buy dairy cows to increase her organic milk sales and her income from raising livestock. Saltanat plans to invest the profit from the loan in increasing the range of dairy products she sells.
